From Hai Phong to Madrid — The Story of Vietnam Restaurante

The story of Vietnam Restaurante begins in Hai Phong, a port city in northern Vietnam, where Chef Duong grew up surrounded by the aromas and flavors of family cooking. The recipes you enjoy at our restaurant today are the same ones her mother and grandmother prepared at home.

In 2013, Chef Duong decided to bring those flavors to Madrid and opened the first Vietnamese cuisine restaurant in the capital on the iconic Calle de las Huertas. Her authenticity and passion did not go unnoticed: Metrópoli magazine recognized her as one of the city’s gastronomic gems.

Today, with two locations — Huertas and Cañaveral — Vietnam Restaurante remains true to its original philosophy: fresh, light cuisine, full of flavor, made with top-quality ingredients and the same care as always. More than a restaurant, it is a bridge between two cultures.
